State Bank of India has released the SBI PO Pre Score Card 2026 for candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Examination. The Preliminary Examination was conducted on 01 and 02 August 2026.

SBI PO Prelims Cut Off 2026

The SBI PO Prelims Cut Off 2026 is the minimum overall score required for shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination.

SBI does not prescribe a separate sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Examination. The shortlisting for the Main Examination is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Prelims.

SBI PO Age Limit 2026

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Age will be calculated as on 01 April 2026.
  • Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 April 1996 and not later than 01 April 2005.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get 3 Years age relaxation.
  • SC / ST candidates get 5 Years age relaxation.
  • PwBD candidates are eligible for age relaxation as prescribed by SBI.

SBI PO Educational Qualification 2026

  • Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Candidates who are in the Final Year / Semester of Graduation can also apply provisionally.
  • Final year candidates must produce proof of having passed the Graduation examination on or before 30 September 2026 if called for interview.
  • Candidates possessing professional qualifications such as Engineering, Medical, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and other eligible qualifications can also apply.

  • The Preliminary Examination is conducted in online mode.
  • There are three sections in the examination.
  • Each section has a separate 20 minutes time limit.
  • There is no sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Examination.

  • No marks are deducted for questions left blank.

Candidates shortlisted from the Preliminary Examination will appear in Phase-II, which is the Main Examination. The Main Examination consists of an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.

  • The Main Examination has separate timings for each Objective Test section.
  • The Descriptive Test is conducted immediately after the Objective Test.
  • Descriptive Test includes communication-based writing such as Email, Situation Analysis and Report / Precis Writing.
  • A penalty of 1/4th marks assigned to a question is applicable for every wrong answer in the Objective Tests.
  • Candidates have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the individual tests and the aggregate score as decided by SBI.

SBI PO Mains Exam Date 2026

The SBI PO Mains Exam Date 2026 is scheduled for 12 September 2026. Candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary Examination will be eligible to appear in the Main Examination.

The Main Examination will be conducted online. Candidates should check their Main Examination call letter for the exact examination centre, reporting time, shift and other instructions.

Candidates should start their Mains preparation without waiting for the last few days because the examination includes separate sectional timings and a descriptive paper.

SBI PO 2026 Selection Process

  • Phase-I: Preliminary Examination.
  • Phase-II: Main Examination consisting of Objective and Descriptive Tests.
  • Phase-III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise and Personal Interview.
  • Preliminary Examination marks are used for shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination but are not added to the final merit list.
  • Main Examination marks and Phase-III marks are considered for preparing the final merit list.
  • Main Examination marks are normalized to 75 marks and Group Exercise plus Interview marks are normalized to 25 marks.
  • Final selection is made on the basis of the combined normalized marks out of 100.
