Age Limit

  • The age limit depends on the post applied for.
  • Minimum age may be 18 Years.
  • Some posts have an upper age limit of 27 Years.
  • Other posts may have an upper age limit of 30 or 32 Years.
  • The age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026.
  • Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved category candidates as per Government rules.

Qualification Details

  • Candidates applying for most SSC CGL posts must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation can also apply, but they must possess the required qualification by 01 August 2026.
  • Some posts such as Junior Statistical Officer and other specific posts have additional educational requirements.
  • Candidates called for Document Verification must produce the required original educational certificates.

SSC CGL Exam Date 2026

The Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC CGL Exam Date 2026 for Tier-I examination. The SSC CGL Tier-I Computer Based Examination is scheduled to be conducted from 30 September to 30 October 2026.
