The RRB Paramedical Staff examination will be conducted through a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT). The question paper will contain questions from Professional Ability along with General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Science.

• Total Questions: 100.
• Total Marks: 100.
• Duration: 90 Minutes.
• Eligible PwBD/PwD candidates using scribe facility will get 120 Minutes.
• Question Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions.
• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC(NCL)/SC and 25% for ST candidates, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.

The Professional Ability section will be based on the professional syllabus related to the post for which the candidate has applied. The detailed post-wise syllabus is provided in Annexure C of CEN No. 05/2026.

• General Awareness: General awareness and important current topics.
• General Arithmetic: Basic arithmetic and numerical ability.
• General Intelligence & Reasoning: Questions based on reasoning and logical ability.
• General Science: Basic science-related questions as prescribed for the examination.

Candidates should prepare the Professional Ability section according to their selected post. The official notification provides separate professional subjects for different paramedical categories.

• Nursing Superintendent: Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Nursing Foundations, Pharmacology, Pathology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing and other prescribed nursing subjects.
• Dialysis Technician: Anatomy, Biochemistry & Pharmacology, Physiology, Kidney diseases and principles and practice of Dialysis.
• Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II: Food & Nutrition, Environmental Sanitation, Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Prevention and Control and Health & Death Statistics.
• Pharmacist: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacy Practice, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Microbiology and other prescribed pharmacy subjects.
• Radiographer X-Ray Technician: Radiology Physics, Radiation Physics, X-Ray Machines, Clinical Radiography, Imaging Modalities, Radiation Safety and related topics.
• ECG Technician: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Cardiovascular Diseases and Cardiovascular Investigations.
• Optometrist: Optics, Anatomy, Physiology, Ocular Diseases, Visual Optics, Optometric Instruments and related topics.

• Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT).
• Stage 2: Document Verification.
• Stage 3: Medical Examination.
• Candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification based on CBT merit and qualifying marks.
• Final allotment will be made according to merit, reservation, candidate preferences and vacancy position.

The date, time and examination centre for the RRB Paramedical Staff CBT will be fixed by the concerned RRB and will be communicated to eligible candidates through the official website.

The RRB Paramedical Staff Exam Date 2026 has not been mentioned in the CEN 05/2026 notification. Candidates should regularly check the official RRB website for the CBT schedule, exam city and e-call letter.

Requests for changing the allotted examination date, shift or examination centre will not normally be entertained.

The RRB Paramedical Staff Admit Card 2026 will be issued to eligible candidates before the Computer Based Test. The exact date for downloading the e-call letter has not been announced in the current notification.

Candidates should keep checking the official RRB website for the examination schedule, exam city information and e-call letter. The admit card will contain important details such as examination centre, date, shift, reporting time and candidate instructions.

After final submission of the application, candidates can modify eligible details during the prescribed modification window by paying a non-refundable modification fee of Rs. 250/- per occasion.

• Only one online application should be submitted against CEN No. 05/2026.
• Multiple applications to different RRBs or the same RRB can lead to rejection of all applications.
• Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification before the closing date of application.
• Candidates waiting for the final result of the required qualification should not apply.
• Candidates should keep their registered mobile number and email ID active throughout the recruitment process.
• The CBT date, centre and shift will be communicated separately by the concerned RRB.
• Candidates should not carry prohibited electronic items or other banned articles to the examination centre.
