Bihar Police Company Commander Salary 2026

The selection examination will be conducted in multiple stages. The written examination consists of an Preliminary Examination followed by a Main Written Examination. All written papers are objective and based on multiple-choice questions.

Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination on the basis of Preliminary Examination performance and category-wise merit. Normally, candidates up to 20 times the number of vacancies are considered for the next stage, subject to the provisions of the notification.

- General Hindi is qualifying in nature and its marks are not added to the merit calculation.
- A minimum of 30% marks is required in the General Hindi paper.
- 0.20 mark is deducted for each wrong answer in both stages of the written examination.
- Candidates are shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test on the basis of Main Written Examination merit.
BPSSC Company Commander Physical Efficiency Test 2026
Candidates shortlisted after the Main Written Examination have to qualify the prescribed Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The physical events are qualifying in nature and candidates must clear the required standard in each event.

Candidates must qualify separately in the prescribed running, high jump, long jump and shot put events. Up to three chances are provided for high jump, long jump and shot put as prescribed in the notice.
Height and chest standards are also prescribed. Height is at least 165 cm for UR/BC male candidates, 160 cm for EBC/SC/ST male candidates and 155 cm for female candidates. Female candidates are not required to undergo chest measurement.

- BC candidates require at least 36.5% marks.
- EBC candidates require at least 34% marks.
- SC/ST and Women candidates require at least 32% marks.
- The Physical Efficiency Test must also be qualified for final selection.
